Machinery Specs

Our machine workshop houses some of the latest CNC Lathes, Milling machines and Borers available:

13 x Lathes, 5 of which are CNC.

Manual lathes maximum capacity: 5m between centres, 680mm swing over the saddle and 1030mm swing over the bed.
CNC lathes maximum capacity: 4m between centres, 515mm swing over the saddle, 820mm swing over the bed and work piece weight of 3500kg.

8 x Milling Machines, one being a Bed Milling Machine and 5 being CNC.

The largest CNC Mill has a travel of 1800 mm on the X-Axis, 630mm on the Z-Axis and 560mm on the Y-Axis with either vertical or horizontal milling capabilities. A unique feature of one of our other CNC Mills is it’s indexable turntable, indexable every 1000th of a degree.

The Bed Milling Machine has a table 6m long x 1.1m wide, a travel of 4.2m on X-Axis, 1.5m on the Y-Axis and 1.0m on the Z-Axis.

2 x Horizontal Borers, one of which is CNC.

The largest of our Borers which is also CNC can handle a max work piece weight of 8000kg on the table, the clamping surface of the table is 1800mm x 2000mm, a travel of 2740mm on the X-Axis, 2500mm on the Y-Axis, 2325mm on the Z-Axis and the table rotation is 360 degrees.

1 x Vertical Borer

Max diameter of work piece 1250mm & height 1000mm. 5 Turret positions with a vertical and horizontal tool heads.

2 x Slotting Machines

The smaller of the two has a 16” stroke coupled with a 990mm diameter indexable table and the larger 30” stroke with a 1500mm diameter indexable table. These machines are ideal for cutting internal keyways and internal splining.

1 x Automatic Bandsaw

Our Double Column Heavy Duty Automatic Horizontal Bandsaw has a maximum cutting diameter of 420mm. Ideal for multiple cutting with precise cut off length setting.

Fitting and Fabrication Shop

• Rotary welding tables – vertical & horizontal
• Portable line borer / welder
• Punch & Shear
• 100 Tonne Press
• 10 Tonne Overhead Crane
